Continuing with our learning for Thursday (Blog Post v0.51 was getting quite long.. that’s what she said.) we now move on to the Defensive Security Tooling section of the Cyber Security 101 THMpath!
We proceed to the CyberChef: The Basics module/room!

CyberChef is quite self explanatory but incase you were unaware “CyberChef is a simple, intuitive web-based application designed to help with various “cyber” operation tasks within your web browser. Think of it as a Swiss Army knife for data – like having a toolbox of different tools designed to do a specific task.”
It can be used soley online or you can clone the github repositoryfor an offline copy (which I did not know) & it is made by GCHQ!
It’s a tool that I have used in the past but not something within my daily toolkit and I should probably use it more often to this should be a good refresher!
Overall, I good room with a large set of capabilities and I will be using this tool a lot more!
