Friday is finally here!
The next room we have moved on to is the hydra room which is a brute force online password cracking program.
The room was simple enough and hydra is a tool that I have used a bit but I’m more used to john so the syntax threw me off a little bit (e.g – hydra -l <username> -P <wordlist> 10.10.123.116 http-post-form "/:username=^USER^&password=^PASS^:F=incorrect" -V)
But we plodded on and got this one done.. sometimes I feel really stupid because I seem to miss some basic points and I wonder why my command doesn’t work and feel like I’m not getting it but you must carry on, it’s the only way you get better!
You learn the most when you fail not when you win!
